Preserving an '80s Icon

Few cars capture the bold, high-octane spirit of the late 1980s quite like the 1989 Ferrari Testarossa. With its iconic side strakes, ultra-wide rear stance, and flat-12 engine, it remains one of the most recognizable supercars ever built. Earlier this year (2026), this poster-car legend arrived at Benefit AutoKlassika for a targeted partial restoration and detail-refining refresh.

Detail Precision & Paint Correction

Even preserved classics aren't immune to the passage of time. Our focus was to address age-related wear, restore original factory finishes, and resolve hidden issues without compromising the car's authentic character:

• Original Cromodora Mirrors: We painstakingly restored the factory-original Cromodora side mirrors, bringing their smooth finish and structural integrity back to pristine condition.
• Trim Refinement: Over the decades, the black aluminum exterior trim and accents had faded. Our team stripped, refinished, and repainted these components in the correct matte/satin finish to restore their sharp, contrasty look.
• Metalwork & Rust Repair: We tackled corrosion on the lower section of the right door, cutting out the affected metal, shaping a clean replacement repair, and treating the inner panel for lasting protection.
• Paint Retouching & Finishing: Following the metalwork and trim repairs, we executed precision paint retouching and blending across the worked areas, polishing the body to ensure a seamless, glass-like finish across every panel.

Back on the Road

With its iconic trim refreshed and its bodywork flawlessly corrected, this '89 Testarossa departed our workshop ready to turn heads once again - a stunning testament to how targeted, high-precision restorative work can keep a classic supercar looking as sharp as the day it left Maranello.
