Not everyone has the opportunity to purchase and own an original Shelby GT350 or GT500, and sometimes it’s necessary to build a clone yourself or have one custom-made to your specifications. Often, the inspiration and basic concept comes from the tuned Mustang featured in the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds”, famously nicknamed “Eleanor.”
The Mustang project that recently came to us was commissioned by a Finnish owner. The sheet metal and body modifications were carried out in Finland with excellent quality; our task in Estonia was to complete the sheet metal finishing and carry out the full paintwork — underneath, inside, and on the exterior. The owner requested a silver with as large and bright metallic flakes as possible, and we found a perfect match in the STANDOBLUE collection, a special Mercedes McLaren color.
The car was completed in 2012 and has already been returned to Finland. We ourselves were very interested in the final result, as it is a fully handmade supercar, and we had never used such a striking color on this type of car before. We will keep you updated on this project!
