Ford Thunderbird

The first-generation Ford Thunderbird was Ford’s answer to the Chevrolet Corvette sports car. However, the Thunderbird was aimed at a wealthier clientele as a so-called luxury sports car, offering all possible comforts along with a powerful V8 engine. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful American cars of the 1950s, and in recent years, their value has steadily increased due to the relatively low production numbers.

This classic two-seater Thunderbird came to us with the request to repair and repaint its removable fiberglass hardtop. That’s exactly what we did, and you can follow the process and see the results in the photos below.

By early 2013, the car returned to our workshop again, this time with a request to strip the American paint down to the bare metal, repair any rust or accident damage, and repaint the entire car!
